About Us    the church | the pastorate | the history | the towns | forton | the manse The Pastorate Garstang and Forton have a continuous history as churches. Forton was the first Nonconformist Church in the area and was established in 1707. Garstang Church was built in 1777. The two churches have been linked together as a joint pastorate since the 1930's. At present, apart from sharing the same minister and having a joint newsletter, the churches function separately.
