About Us    the church | the pastorate | the history | the towns | forton | the manse The Towns Garstang is a small market town in pleasant surroundings midway between Preston and Lancaster within easy reach of the Lake District, the Fylde Coast and Yorkshire Dales. It is a growing community with new housing presently being built and much development in recent years to cope with the increase population. Forton is a scattered village four miles north of Garstang, divided into its two halves by the A6 road.
