Leprosy Mission

 

If there are any further donations for the work in Niger please hand them to Mary Thornber by Sunday 18th February. We are aiming for £400 which would pay for a year’s tailoring training for 2 leprosy affected people and the purchase of 2 sewing machines.

 

Lent Lunches start this Wednesday!

 

Lent Lunches will be ecumenical this year with every church in Garstang taking a turn to provide the soup and cheese at one of the Wednesday lunches. The lunches start on 14th February and ‘our’ Wednesday is February 21st. If you would be willing to make soup or come along and help please see Marion or Sally.

The Lent Lunches will be followed by the Joint Pastorate Lenten Bible Study at 1.15pm each week.

 

Bob’s Leaving Do.

 

After 42 years Bob Stewart will soon be leaving Garstang. Following the service on Sunday 25th February we will be having a Jacobs Join lunch so that we can say goodbye. Please join us if you can.

 

Annual Church Meeting

 

Sunday 11th March

 

Just a reminder to all those writing reports for the Annual Church Meeting to be held after the service on Sunday, 11th March that all reports need to be passed to Marion by next Sunday, February 18th for inclusion in the book of reports. Thank you, Marion

Fairtrade Stall

 

The takings for the Fairtrade Stall on 28th January were £68.50. Thank you for your support. The next Fairtrade Stall will be on 4th March

Potato Weekend

 

Yes, this weekend is Potato Weekend at Robinson’s Nursery, Forton. Why drop in for a cup of tea at the Pop-Up Cafe run by Forton URC to raise money for the Toilet Fund?
